Great rainbows!! are those fish in the first pic gobies orsomthing? they have great fins. My mom has always wanred rainbows but there water is completely different from what her angels like, and they have been her favorate since they were the size of a quarter, so the tank is built around them.
They're members of the gobie family, yes. They're Goo obo Gudgeons, Allomogurnda nesolepis, from Irian Jaya.

Roan, what is the black pipe thingy? Is all black pvc safe? I heard only the white is because of dyes in the black. I saw something that looked like what you have in the plumbing section at home depot.

BTW: My baby goo obo's are doing great, I'm going to do some test's tomorrow when I do some maintenance on it, and I will post all the results.

It's from a sump pump drainage kit. The hose is 1½" and 24' long. I just cut off sections and bend it. The goos didn't use it when they were younger, but now they do. They're about 1½" now and I have one male and one female in full color. They're BRIGHT too. The male is more gorgeous, imho. Two females are gravid, but *I'm* not ready for babies yet ;)

Please do!

Nice pics Roan!

I take it that the Goo's are more of a bottom-dwelling fish? I've never seen my peacocks rest on the bottom like that; they tend to be mid-level swimmers when they are out and about, although they explore all levels of the tank.

Awsome fish and awsome pictures, I love how your tanks turn out. simply awsome

Almost always on the bottom with occasional forays up to the top of the water and back down. Once in a while they do a mid-level tour :)

Two of my Goos have colored up as the really colorful type, and a few are the more muted tones.

I'll try and get some pics this weekend. I haven't been posting pics because my digital needs new rechargeables and the AC cable isn't very long. Royal PITA to use.

Thank you, Northstar :)

Wouldn't say that about that tank now, though. I fought off the first round of algae, now I've got a case of BGA brewing and I'm not a happy camper about that one.

Doing a blackout with increased nitrates atm. Hoping that helps.
