Who keeps Goo-obo Gudgeon i am thinking of getting a pair please tell your luck with them and pictures.

I don't have the Goo-Obo variety, but I do have peacock gudgeons which are similar. They are colorful and very interesting little fish. Make sure the tank has plenty of caves. The males will each claim a cave as their own. Mine like to squeeze themselves into holes in the driftwood. They are constantly spawning, but I haven't got a hatch yet. I'm about to put a conditioned male and female together in their own tank hoping to get a hatch. They are fairly easy to care for as long as you give them good water conditions and a healthy diet.

IMO they would do well in most tropical community tanks with small fish. I think the Goo-Obo are about the same size as the peacocks, or maybe a little bit bigger - but they aren't large fish, and I believe they also have similar tempermants . My males chase each other sometimes, and the females get harrassed by the males when they are ready to spawn. They don't bother any of the other fish in the tank at all. They are not compatible with goldfish though, since goldfish aren't tropicals and require cooler water temps.

I forgot to mention that a 39 gallon tank would be more than enough for a pair, and could support a colony of them (the size of which would depend on the amount of tankmates).

What should the temp be for a Goo-Obo-Gudgeon because my goldfish are usually between 78-82 degrees and how are Gudgeon temper?
