Good Beginner Beer

Ryverrat and MsJ, we must selflessly continue this test! We cannot let our fellow Yuengling drinkers suffer inferior beer. Please report the results. Perhaps we need to have a regional symposium to compare our findings, retest, and prepare to release the data. :) My latest potency test has determined that after the sixth one, I can no longer spell the name of the product, much less pronounce it, but I am a lightweight.

Unfortunately, I do not remember the green bottles. What year (s) were they produced?

...

Nothing - its all good old on topic fun.

Back on topic boys and girls ty all as always :)

The report function working as intended, thanks for saving the thread mods :D

I expect a full report on my desk, not before 11am.

LOL! I expected to get a couple of responses, but this is ridiculous! By the way, feel FREE to send me samples of all said beers :D:D:D. I'm going to have to make a list, then I can slooooowly work my way down it. Or at least till I hit something really good.

I will confess that I did not read all the pages of posts, but here is my 2 cents. Beer in a bottle is 100 times better than a can. Hefeweisen is great, Corona is good, Heineken is very good, Grolsh is fantastic, Yuengling is good.........Beer is really an aquired taste. Most do not like it at first but after a few tries you find one you like. Some beers have a lite skunky smell to them (sounds gross but it is not) and I find that the skunkier, the better the taste. Everyone has their own preferences as I said it is an aquired taste. Years ago I would not be caught dead drinking Bud Light, now it is my domestic beer of choice.....a cheap date I guess. When I splurge, I go for Grolsh, Heineken or Molson Ice.....mmmmm skunky!

Or the liquor!

I like to keep it simple. I don't want flavors added, or the need to add lime or salt. If the taste of the beer can't stand on its own then I don't need to drink it. I could make vomit edible with the right seasonings but doesn't mean I want to eat it.

Budweiser
IceHouse

Just make sure they are cold.

Ah, yes; Ice House. My choice before I was watching calories more. (my brother in law refers to it as A$$ house) Some people have no taste....

I'm not a huge drinker for quantity. If I'm drinking anything, it's because I enjoy the beverage in question.

Mostly I enjoy a really good whiskey.

In the pantheon of beer & beer type beverages I tend to prefer brown ales; for example, Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale. Or a Belgian ale called Delirium when I can get it.

Many a wonderful beverage comes from Belgium. Including a selection of fruit ales that you might enjoy.
