I've been wanting another fish to put in my tank lately, but I can't think of one. More schooling fish would be nice but I don't know what other schooling fish are there that I haven't seen in my FS's. I could go for one or two that have a personality unlike many of the schooling ones so far in my tank, but like I said above I really can't think of one to put in there. One fish that I have thought about though is a black ghost knife because of the other threads. I've also seen some in my LFS that are about 17" long in a ~275gal that don't do anything to the oscars and plecos in the tank and just stay on one side of the tank. I probably would get one if they are peaceful with my fish and if my parents allow it...lol. Any ideas? Otherwise, I'll go get a couple more moon crabs since they're pretty fun to watch when they are walking around. :D

I agree, barbs are good, they add color, althought i hear some barbs are fin nippers, personally my barbs havent nipped any fins, better do some more research on that. U can add Angle fish, i hear great things about those, they grow to be about 6 inches, and pair off when their mating, 295g is more than enough room, and their peaceful with other fish.

Beautiful size tank. I'd recommend a ghost or even 2 except for the smaller fish that will be lunch eventually. Angels and maybe a couple severum....altho small fish may be lunch again :( unless you can remove the less than 2 inch fish eventually.

I just looked at your tank specs, the only thing I'd worry about are the brilliant rasbora, everything else would be ok with ghostie. My bkg is quite gentle, and lived with guppy without incidence. But he's only 7 inches long at the moment. The guppy were intended as feeders, but he never bothered with them, preferrring bloodworms. I'm just wondering how you'd target feed in a tank of that size, however. Nice!

I would definately get the BGK, but I have wanted one ever since I got into fishkeeping last January. (yeah, I know, what a nooooooooooob) :)

Thanks for the comments. Anyways the bgk is a no-go since my dad doesn't want that big of a fish in there. The red cockatoo looks nice but I'd rather buy it in a lfs sicne I don't want to deal with next day shipping charges.
