just wondering if there was any cichlids that would do well in a 55g community tank? is there a cichlids that doesn't get agressive and teritorial and all that?

55g
5 black skirt tetras
dwarf gourami
opoline gourami

Cichlids not to be territorial is impossible. Even the most docile cichlid gets territorial.

You can try dwarf cichlids that don't get too big and mostly peaceful. Try to go for maybe Laetacara curviceps, keyhole cichlid, rams, and other apistogramma species.

Well, depends on how friendly you want them to be. Rams or Keyholes would probably do well with your group. Orange Chromides would be a colorful choice, but like some salt in their water. I like Severums, but they might get a little big. Firemouths can be nippy, but might work.

that 55g tank has tetra, dwarf gouramis and such, I won't suggest severums, orange chromides. Firemouth might work, but need to play with the tank setup in order to protect other fishes being nipped by them, IME.

I have 3 rams in my 55 gallon with a pair or honey gouramis, some platies and red eye tetras. Everyone seems to get along fine.

I have a firemouth by himself and another tank and I certainly wouldn't trust him to behave himself in a community tank.
