I just got 3 platies today, and I was wondering what foods would be good for them. I was thinking Tetra flakes, Tetra Color flakes, and bloodworms. Does this sound good? If not, what else should I add or take out. I also know that platies like some vegetable matter in their diet, so I was wondering what foods have vegetable matter in them. Thanks for the help!

IMO tetra is one of the crappiest brands out there. they are almost nothing but solid fillers like grains with enough fish meal to make it taste good to the fish.

if you get food, get omega one veggie flakes. platies do appriciate more vegtable matter, and omega one is very good quality brand. ocean nutrition and new life spectrum are also good. hikari, nutrafin and HBH are OK IMO. avoid wardley and tetra.

I feed my platies a variety tetramin flakes, spirulina flakes, brine shrimp and blood worms. I alternate the food different days they seem to love the variety.

also avoid top-fin
