What are some really good LFS's here in Los Angeles (or OC). One that I really like is Strictly Fish in Long Beach off Carson and the 605. I checked out Aquatic Outlet today in Inglewood and they've got an awesome selection. Too bad they are kind of far from me.

Anyone else?

"Tong's" in Fountain Valley has a really good stock.

"405 Tropical Fish" has the best prices of all the LFS I know, but they are mostly freshwater.

I know of a few more in Orange Co, but they also cater to freshwater. If you want more, reply back and I'll list em all.

I went to Aquatic Outlet once, and thought they were ridiculously overpriced. They were selling an AC500 that I got for $38 shipped for $117!

Stricly Fish is a really good one. They have fish sales every Wed. And sales on everything in the store 2 or 3 times a year.

Yeah i like Tong's. I haven't been to the Fountain Valley one, but I've been to the one's in Whittier and Brea. There are several LFSs in my area that have pretty good prices, but their livestock are more like deadstock. I don't trust buying anything from them.

Didn't the one in Whittier burn down? Last time I was there, they were having a sale out of a trailer behind the store. Haven't been to the Brea one yet. I think there's a 4th Tong's as well, don't know where.

Last time I was there, which has been a couple months, it was undergoing remodeling. I'm not sure if it had burnt down, but they were still operating normally.

Have you been to Black Coral Hawaii in Santa Ana? I've never been but I heard they have a good selection.

I like Orange Coast Tropical in Buena Park. I have gotten both marine and fresh water fish from them and never had a problem with bringing a sick fish home. They are at Western and near Orangethorpe.

I agree with meangene. I went there once and looked around quite a while and was only asked if I needed help when i was standing at the register waiting to pay for some filters. Even then the guy didn't even converse with me, instead he chatted away with his worker friend.
Their invert selection was pretty cool, but nothing excited me about their fish. They didn't have too many and the ones they had were average ones you'd seen anywhere (even Petco!). I'd go back again for their inverts though.
