Good mates for Golden Gourami?

I have a single golden gourami in a 29 gallon tank, and was wondering what kind of fish would go well with him.

I've gotten some suggestions on another thread of mine, but would like a lot of ideas, so i could have the best community possible.

Cool! I used to have a gold gourami, Jack, in my 29.

I've found platies and corydoras catfish to be good tankmates for them... also swordtails are nice.

gold gouramis will likey harass platies. zebra danios will probably be good tankmates: they are fast and tough.
