Good method of diffusing CO2?

insert CO2 line into filter intake?
I'm using 4L diy co2 diffused through a nutrafin ladder, it seems like it's not diffusing thoughout the tank be cause my tiger lotus near the ladder is thriving while the ones away from it are stagnant. I did some research to find an improvement. There are some recommendation to insert the CO2 line into the filter in take. Is this method better? I saw some cons to this method as they say the co2 will corode the filter parts. If you've done this method and recommend it, how do I set it up because I still can imagin how I can insert the tube throught the strainer to the intake?
 
Ladder sucks.

UNLESS...you put it directly under a powerhead so when the bubbles are released, the powerhead sucks it up and shreads the bubbles.

Or a glass diffuser. Even better if you also have a powerhead hooked up to it.
 
I have an aquaclear 802 powerhead that I was thinking of using, except that it created a really strong current which I think might hurt the plants. How about insert the co2 tube to the intake of my eheim 2213? How do I do this? do I have to drill a hole on the intake tube ?
 
^If you can lodge or even zip tie the tube to your intake, then yeah go ahead and drill if you like.

Its nothing crazy, just get the tube to sit where the bubbles would get sucked in by the intake.
 
I took scissors and cut one of the little "bars" that acts as a fiilter and shoved the tube into there.
 
Some people recommend not to let the co2 go into the cannister filter intakes as it might damage the impelllor. I wouldn't do it, especially considering how much more expensive my filter is compared to my used coke bottle.

Instead, I shove part of a wooden chopstick into the end of my co2 tube, and set the tube under the output of my filter. The result is I get fine bubbles, almost as fine as a ceramic diffuser, plus the filter output blows the bubbles through the tank.
 
i use Lee's limewood diffusors for co2 and they work quite well in my application, with high diffusion and very little co2 actually escaping to the surface.
 
I am using a Red Sea 500 Reactor and DIY CO2. I too am worried that the gas is not reaching enough of the tank. If I place the Red Sea underneath my AquarClear 70 intake tube, does anyone think this will help the dispersion of the CO2? Any idea?

Really? a wood chostick is porous, or are you just limiting CO2 flow to a very small single hole?

I tend to just hook my DIY to airstones below my Eheim's intake. It gets about half, the rest gets sucked into the output side's current. I haven't heard any regular Eheim noises or anything because of this. They (at least Eheims) are reputed to be able to handle this very well - no damage, cavitations, losses of prime etc.
