Good News For Now on the SOPA/PIPA Front

I just found out that the president claims he will veto the bill if presented to him as is, but he expects some sort of legislation to be passed in the coming year.

Meh. If he's still in office when the bill is presented, then he may. While I don't distrust him yet, I don't expect much.

It's a sad day when a government "run by the people" isn't trusted by said people....

Nothing sad about it.

Sure the government is "of the people, by the people" just think of how many people you trust. Now think of how many people there are. Now think of how many of those people you wouldn't trust.

So technically it'd be crazy to trust such a government. It is made up almost entirely of people you don't even know, let alone trust.

Doesn't matter whether he vetoes or not, congress can still override it. At present there are 45 Senators in favor, 5 against and 47 undecided.
