Good noob setup shopping list?!?!

Do you have a canopy? Or are you willing to buy one? Also, have you checked into a local club for used equipment? Used equipment from clubs can be had for unbelievably low prices and the quality is typically good because people are just upgrading to bigger systems. I bought my MHs for $200 with bulbs as an example.
i was planning on using the little 3" riser feet that the Dual Satellites came with and then place it over the water, maybe with some egg crate... i can get one if i need to though...

I was asking because retrofits are less expensive but you'll need a canopy to install them into. The trick with T5s is to get them with individual reflectors. A good price on one would be these: http://www.reefgeek.com/lighting/T5...:_2-39W_T5_HO_Retrofit_Kit_by_Sunlight_Supply but they need to screw into something to hang them.
Perhaps someone else has a different suggestion for a unit.

The T5s have far superior light output with less watts used. Some use a good T5 with an individual reflector in place of Metal Halides in fact and are able to keep SPS and clams in a shallow tank.

I'd not go with the top one either, it doesn't have indidvidual reflectors which makes a big difference.
Watts per gallon is a good guideline but is only a guideline. T5s are specifically designed to use less watts for a higher output of light. You'll be able to light deeper and brighter with them than you will typical flourscents but to get the best quality from them you'll want indvidual metal reflectors for each bulb.

i am planning on running a 30 gal FOWLR with probably that Dual Satellite CF which is 196. That would be good right?? Is it a problem that it only comes with 1 lunar light???
You don't need a lunar light, it is for your benefit only. Those that get them do so because they don't want a dark tank after the main lights go off.
Since you're keeping a FOWLER yes you can go with just about any non UV light you want.
