Hello, I'm new to the forum and new to fish keeping in general.

A couple of months ago, my wife and I purchased a small aquarium from wal-mart. It was bought on a whim really. Anyway, we set it up with a few neon tetras and a smattering of fake and live plants, etc. We soon found out that we really enjoy having an aquarium in our home! At the moment, we really don't have room for a larger tank plus we plan on moving out of our apartment within the next few months and don't want the hassle of having to move anything bigger than what we already have. So I'm stuck with the measley 5 gal at the moment. But when we move, I'd love to get a 75 gallon or larger tank.

We live in a small town and the local pet store isn't very well stocked in the way of fish keeping supplies. I was just wondering if some of the folks here that have had experience with ordering supplies online would be willing to point me in the direction of a few good suppliers.

This looks like a great community and I hope to be able to learn a lot from y'all!!:)

Tyrroneous out!

Big Al's is a great resource--great prices, good selection. http://www.bigalsonline.com/

There are many others--I've bought from Drs Foster and Smith (sorry, can't find the link). AquariumStuffers has a very good reputation, and of course there are a variety of species/family specific sellers, depending on what you're looking for.

Of course, I strongly encourage you to develop a good relationship with a good LFS. Not only are these local dollars, but a good store can really help you out in an emergency

big al's is great. i've found them really reliable and fast in addition to the more than competitive prices. i've ordered some 600 or 700 bucks worth of stuff from them in the last yea. eek when i think about it...so *that's* where my monies go.
