LFS, 1" Clown Loaches for $3 each!! They are in pretty bad tank conditions, but I am going to try to save as many as I can.
cool!
i assume they are going in the 250 gallon?
Yup.
Sorry got sidetracked.
Q) They are in a 10 gal quarintine tank. They are flashing on the bubbler hose and they have clamped fins. Color is really faded on some of them. What should I treat them with? Tey are eating, though some dont have much of an apitite.
Thanks
This might've been a bad move on your part Shagmaster, eventhough you had the best intetions.
Small juvie clowns (especially under 2") are known for being notoriously delicate. On top of that, if they come from bad tank conditions, it's probably not worth suppporting the sale of such small individuals (like wal-mart does).
What I would suggest is make sure they have a large cave that they can all hide in at the same time.
Subdue the lighting on the tank (when I got mine, I used only one bulb, instead of two with lots of floatng plants).
Be sure theres plenty of water movement in the tank, preferaby pointed at the hiding spot.
Feed blood worms and keep your fingers crossed. Dropping shrimp pellets near their cave will help too, also try spirulina tablets.
Give them at least 24 hours before trying to feed, and try to stay away from the tank as much as possible, no matter how tempting it is to take a gander at the awe-inspiring sight of a group of juvies.
Best of luck to you and your juvies,
HTH
