Good scavenger and algae eater?

shrimp, PLeco

i really like the variety of pleco you will see sold as "Bristlenose" at the lfs. I would get several of the buggers if you are having issues.

The royal farlowella (a little pricey for many hobbyist--but a very cool looking fish) works well at keeping BBA under control if it has not been allowed to become pervasive.

I'll go along with the pleco but I think any shrimp put in with a 10" JD is just gonna be food. I think a large pleco will disappoint you in the algae-eating dept. as they tend to get lazy and eat less algae and more fish food when they get big. With a large JD in the tank your best algae-eater may be elbow grease and a scrubber pad. I use a mag-float. Works well.
