hi...I was wondering...I'm getting a 20+ gallon tank in a couple of weeks....so I was like wondering what are good aquarium plants?(for beginners )I've read
about java fern and java moss...but what about duckweed is this plant like hard to take care of? and I would also like those fuzzy plants and I would also like to know about grassy type plants

thanks....

whats so bad about duckweed . i thought they were good 4 your tank  better get rid of mine

so...is duckweed good or bad? I was thinking that it may be bad because it will block out the light for the rest of the planties...no? so far it's 2 for duckweed and 1 against it...

Duckweed can be a plague if left unchecked. Personally I'd like to nuke it out of my tank. One day I might take out the time to have a final battle with the stuff.

why though? why is it so bad?I mean I was thinking if it's for the light then I could use 3 or 4 of those floating rings that are mean to keep fish food in place so I'd have like little windows!

Duckweed is very hard to completely remove once they are introduced, a tiny leaf stuck against the glass can multiply quickly to become a nuisance again under proper growing conditions. I like the look of duckweed, but have to remove them on a weekly basis.

wo ho ho! weekly basis? that's a lot...but is it hard to remove?? :look:
