What is a good online fish supply store besides "Big Als", I don't like there prices, I've found better places then that. So, does anyone know of a better/differt supply storebesides "Big Als"?
 
Well, what are you looking for?

There's "ThatFishPlace" and "DrsFosterandSmith" (I don't have the urls handy here. I used to always used Drs Foster and Smith, until I came here and heard about Big Al's. I compared about 50 prices on the things I use and am likely to use in the future and Big Al's was cheaper on like 38 of them.

Customer support on Drs Foster and Smith is pretty good.

I prefer www.drsfostersmith.com

Prices are inline with BigALs - some a little higher, some a little lower - overall I believe they even out.

But the main reason I like FosterSmith is their customer service is far superior to Big Als IMO - and they will ship backorders for free. When I order from BigAls -I have never received a complete order. They are always out of something - which would be ok if they backordered it and shipped it free when it came in. They do NOT. Drsfostersmith will tell you when you place an order if something is not in stock AND will backorder it for you and ship it free when it arrives. A Big Plus in my book
 
It says on BigAl's that if you order something that was previously backordered, they will adjust the shipping charges for you if you just ask:

Well heady - either that is new in the past two weeks (maybe because I bi*ched to them so much ;) ) or they don't follow it. Because I have several emails from them that contradict this statement. It would be nice if it is new, because its a step in the right direction - but still not ideal - ie automatic (since you have to place a new order - and ask them to adjust shipping).
