Hope , this doesn't get removed. I just wanted to say good bye to John Paul II and thank God for the good work he's done for Catholics and people of all faiths world wide. I feel extreme sorrow for all of us :( and extreme joy for him because he's gone onto his reward :). I know many people across the world are praying for the John Paul II , but we shouldn't forget that he's still praying for us to. Carol is home now with his Lord and Family. Ok, I was going to say more but, I just can't .
Chris
P.S.
This not intended to offend any one and is not any attempt at coversion etc. It's just part of what many people around the world are feeling .

No offense, Chris. I posted a thread earlier saying goodbye. I think it's nice to see more were effected by his works and words.

I thought it was Karol? ;)

What you said was nicely done.

:)

Missed it Lila. I sort of had a one track train of thought when I poseted this if you know what I mean and if they want to merge these threads fine by me. It is Karol in Polish I just used an English spelling . Kind of hard to admit but, at the time I typed this I could barely see if you know what I mean.

I am not Catholic, but the world did lose a great man who did alot of good in this world. There is no way this thread should be closed. Goodbye Pope John Paul II.

I will have to say, I've been impressed by how people outside of the Catholic church have viewed what he's accomplished. He wasn't perfect, tell me who is, but he did do a great deal. I don't think I've ever seen such a 'leader' who was so devoted to the young people of the world.

Max... I know what you mean.

I'm not Catholic either, but you don't need to be to see the impact that his works have had on the world and to know that his influence will be missed. It is good to know his personal suffering is at an end and he is at peace.

He was also quite the champion of the poor and helpless. He's done more in for Africa than the church has in 1700 years. Not to mention the work he did in the former comunist block nations. All that aside what impressed me the most was the fact that when they read his will he had no earthly possesions. Not too many leaders of large religious groups can say that. He's the only Pope I can remember to mass won't be the same with out the "for John Paul our Pope line." It's kind of funny I'm not sad for him because he's in a much better place. I'm sad for the world and I pray the church can fill his shoes.
