My Convict and Jelly Bean Parrot fish have mated ..and i was just wondering would that be considered a hybrid and or a new species ..the baby's are about 2'half weeks old now i will get pictures as soon as possible.

What are your plans for the fry?

I would be careful about what you do with them. A lot of serious cichlid keepers/breeders are very dedicated about keeping hybrids out of the hobby. I personally would not encourage selling them or giving them away. I know this isn't the question but I am sure it will come up eventually...Just a little heads up.
