Got fertilizer... how often do I add?

:)

Thanks Tony... I'm not trying to be a pest, but my only chance to get to the store is Saturday :)

For some reason my nitrAtes always test in the 20-40 range, even a day after my water change... so I assume I'm all set there.

Looks like I'll get some Flourish, and Flourish Excel...

I should stop using Plant Gro if I get Flourish, right? Since they have a lot of the same ingredients?

You said I can get potassium from No-salt, what exactly is that? Can I use Flourish Potassium instead?

Last question, I promise :) You previously mentioned fertilizer tabs to plant down w/ the roots... if I add those, will it be double dosing the tank?

Thanks!

Tara,
You are not a pest. Thats what this board is for.
Nitrates: My Nitrates also stay at about 20 ppm, so I have never had to add any. I just keep Stump Remover around just in case.
Get some Flourish, and some Flourish Excel. I also use Flourish Trace which may be overkill, but I'm happy with the results and I've had no negative results. If you are going with the Flourish line, then you wont need the Plant Gro.
No-Salt is a salt substitute which you can get at any grocery store. I use 1 teaspoon twice a week for my 20 Gal tank.
The fert tabs (I use Flourish Tabs), shouldn't be a problem as far as overdosing goes. It doesn't cause me any problems. When it comes to overdosing anything, I think the only problem it can cause is a possible algae bloom. If that happens, you can think about cutting down on some stuff, but I wouldn't worry about it untill you have a problem.

Have Fun:)

Tara,
Correction to one of my posts. I said to use 1 teaspoon of No-Salt, twice a week.
What I meant to say was 1/2 teaspoon, twice a week.
Sorry,
