Thanks for the nice comments BK and Schizo! You will be rewarded with respect from me! Yes, I do agree with you BK people make mistakes and then learn from them. To be honest, I really wasn't going to get the jardini I was going to get a silver instead. Then the lfs manager told me that Jardinis get smaller. Then i go on to MFK and they tell me different. I just fell in love with this fish, that I'll go and get him a bigger tank if I could save some money up!I think your jardini looks really nice and can't wait to see him in the 220. I hope things work out well.

Thanks for all the good info TM Dragon! Yeah tommrow where taking the pike and a few others back to the lfs to get store credit. Atleast the Jardini will have more swimming room! He just have catfish living with him. he'll have nothing to kill! LOLJardinis do stay smaller than Silvers, at least lengthwise. If anything Jardinis have a larger girth. Captive Jardini's rarely grow much larger than 2ft and Silvers grow to around 3ft so I don't see why someone would tell you Jars get bigger.
I also noticed that your dad is saying that the Jar is squabbling with your pike and it seems like he is ready to step in when needed, which is good because your Dad is aware of the situation.
Also BFK don't take things the wrong way, we're not trying to tell you that the Jar will definitely kill your fish, it's not a death sentence, we're just trying to warn you because there is a high possibility that the Jar might. In the end it all comes down to the individual fish so just be prepared. Help you dad watch the tank and inform him if anything serious happens. Good luck.
Jardinis are not Asian Arowanas there S. Americain just like silvers, and blacks.Nice fish.
For some reason, I thought the asian arowanas were a protected species and illegal... is that not the case?
