Hi guys

So, I just got a hi fin blue cobalt baby discus today(it is around quarter size), and i have a few questions, I am planning on putting it in a 72G. But the discus in that tank are 3". Any suggestions. The other tanks I have running are a 20G, and a 10G shrimp tank(which also has angelfish babies). So excited:)

but the fish were packed poorly, thank god it was 1 day shipping, the bags had no O2 in them. thanks

Thanks

Ritap

pics up soon:)

nobody? nothing? no ideas? well, i released it into the 72G, turned off the lights, and now when I come to check later, its gone:(

i can't find it, but its probably in the DW, or somehwere i can't see like behind the DW;)

Yeah, I guess, except my quarantine has 7 corys in it right now that i put in yesterday. I might put it in with them?what do u guys think?

i found it!

i think that might stress it out too much. are discuss aggressive? id watch and make sure it doesnt get picked on or doesnt get shuned

Well a fish as sensitive as a discus I would prob QT for a week or two before you put him in just to add some size to him and to let him eat something. Good luck!

Yep, I agree! I learned to never put a new fish in a established tank. Always quarantine new fish no matter what, even if the fish was from a good seller. You don't want to contaminate the whole tank. I would put it with the corys.

no, the are expensive, peaceful fishies(I bought this one for $60!($20 for fish, and $40 shipping), usually they are $20-$100 each.

discus are peaceful (from what I hear)

I WANA SEE IT POST PICS NOW!!

calm down:)
+1, very peaceful unless breeding, or 1 female and 2 males(all adults)

Okay, I will put it with the corys after I eat lunch and get back from my LFS!

Discus are normally peacefull but can be aggressive. The one I have killed his buddy a few years ago.

They were probably both males:(
