Hi all got my first angel fish. It is a marbled striped angel and is living with the fish in the 125. What food should I feed him?? Are these tankmates(in sig see 125) okay for him?
Thanks,
BFK

He should be alright with the fish in the 125, but I dont have that much experience with tinfoil barbs. I do know they get big, but so does the angel so Idk. As for feeding, I feed mine flake food with bloodworms every other day or so. You could give him feeder guppies when he gets bigger. Also, you could get a couple more angels as they like to be together. Like any cichlid though, they can fight so watch them if you do get more. If you have a happy school they are a spectacle to watch.

Not with the tinfoil barbs. Tinfoils are far too boisterous for the placid angelfish.

boisterous just like silver dollars :)

Angel fish really are nice fish to have, but I have to agree with the others on the tinfoils. Maybe when you move your 150 guys to the 300, the tinfoils could go in there?

totally agree

if i had a 125 with angels, i'd stick 15 in there (nothing else), lots of plants, lots of bogwood to split up zones / territories, then watch their true wild like behaviours - go for it - get wild angels!!!

I wouldn't feel comfortable over the long run with the barbs and angel.

I would watch the tinfoil barbs with the angel. I am afraid the angel will get picked on and end up with torn fins. The worst part is the angel most likely will not even fight back.
