Got my first Angel Fish

So far I have no problems.

This may be....but I've had fish that seemed to get along fine, they were fine for months then out of no where one attacked the other and killed it. Just keep an eye on them. In the end maybe yours will be one of those odd ball cases where they happen to work.

I would still (if it were me), move the barbs into the 150 and let the angels have the 125.

Good luck.

POST SOME PICS BOY!!! :grinyes:

totally agree

if i had a 125 with angels, i'd stick 15 in there (nothing else), lots of plants, lots of bogwood to split up zones / territories, then watch their true wild like behaviours - go for it - get wild angels!!!

:headbang2: I say the same!

Pics or ban for what??? Well heres an update I got 2 more angels and some discus in the tank. Moved tinfoils to 90 for now.

Awesome BFK!!! Angels and Discus, that will be a nice tank!!!

just watch the mix.
I keep angels with discus but you need to be aware of some possible issues that might appear.
angels tend to be mor eaggressive at feeding time than discus.

so keep an eye on the discus and make sure they are geting plenty of food..

also watch for camillanus and capillaria prasites..angels have developed some resistance to these parasites(they are still affected) but may be transporting these..

usually it is best to qtr angels and treat for parasites prior to adding to a main tank.

that said..the discus seem to handle the meds well.
remember to keep the tank warm especially if these are young discus and feed them several times per day..the angels won't mind a bit ;)

Thanks for the info!

Angels and discus. That is a much better mix. How lovely. I would bet that once everyone is settled and eating good that the tank will look awesome.
