I haven't seen anything that looks like it could have copper in it based on the pics I've seen online.

I haven't seen anything that looks like it could have copper in it based on the pics I've seen online.
When I was setting my tank up it was winter and all the landscaping places around me were closed. Of course I was too impatient to wait, so the LFS made quite a profit off me! :lipssealedsmilie:
I actually went to a landscaping place the other day, and saw quite a few nice rocks...I'll have to go back.
And of course you'll probably need a new tank to go with those nice rocks...
I already have a 30 gallon that my dad doesn't know about just waiting to be set up. :lipssealedsmilie:

:laugh: Somehow I just had a feeling there was something like that.
I'm really leaning towards putting the gravel in storage and getting some pool filter sand for this (big surprise there, I have sand in every other tank too)
That brownish quartz in the second pic is pretty neat stuff (looks better in real life), I might use that. Not sure though.
if some of you are around rural areas find a farmer they usually have a pile of rocks that they have taken out of the fields
i know last year we took out 7 pick up beds of rocks out of a 40 acre feild but most were way too big,.. but most were quarts,.. mottled pink/white and gray/black/white very pretty,.. i have tiny ones in my tank,..lol
