I have a 45 gallon tank that is a month old. I have 3 guppies, 8 tetras and two dwarf gouramis. I want a pair of larger fish. Any recommendations?????

What kind of tetras? You're fairly lightly stocked, so you could probably have a pair of angelfish.

Yea, something like angel fish or rams would be nice. If the tetras are neons, however, then I wouldn't recommend angels because of stories I have heard about angels eating neons.

german blue rams will get to 3 inch long and the are a beutiful fish with lots of charecter BTW my avatar is a pic of 2 german blue rams so.....

my gold gourami would relentlessly chase my gold ram when introuduced into my 36 gallon. Eventhough I have lots of plants and caves, he would actually hunt for him, not just chase him when he'd see him. I'm not sure about the dwarf's vs Rams but my wife's dwarf gourami tank does have its bullies. We noticed her redfire gourami has half of his upper lip missing. We are not positive it wasn't like this when we bought him but the neon blue gourami constantly chases him and the smaller dwarf. Might be something to think about, Kyle

I've personally had no problem in the past with Silver Dollars and tetras
