Woo hoo, I finally got some F1 yellow labs. They are very beautiful. This pic was taken 2 minutes after adding them to my tank. They were a bit stressed as they had just travelled 4 hours in a car and then spent another 4 hours in the bag.They are only 1/2"-1" and just starting to get their black fins

I have 3 of these, they are really great fish. They never seem to stop moving and are very fun to watch.
F1 means they are the fry of wild caughts. I couldnt' find any good quality labs around here so i thought it was worth paying the extra expense to get nice stock. I paid 20$can each for them, I thought pretty good considering they are F1.
I didnt' do anything special. Kyle bagged them at 6am and drove up to give them to me. We met at a aquarium auction and he gave them to me. I put them in a cooler. Then 4 hours alter i went home and floated the bag for about 1 hour. Then slowly added cup fulls of tank water to the bag. Then netted them and added them to the tank. They did great. were swimming around and eating right after i added them.
Can't wait untill they start breeding

Beautiful.I have one yellow lab and I love it. Such color. they are very tough as well. I have a 2" one that holds his own agianst two spawning jewels.
Hey Valerie did Kyle have any of those Polits yet? Oooo i want some so bad! I am considering making the drive out to Alberta for them
