Got some Gold Rams, and German Blue Rams!!!

Does anyone know if a female and male will nip or fight with each other???

When I was breeding Rams. they all would fight. Not overly serious, but the males definately fought more.

It really looks like 2 males to me. My females are usually very timid unless guarding eggs, but the males will go at one another until they get their own territories sorted out. If you put lots of structure, like pots, in the tank, it helps them establish a well defined area.

Thanks, you confirmed my suspicion, I will be putting in lots of caves until I take one of the rams back and get a female.
They always swim in quick jerky movements, is that normal???

They never swim smoothly like guppies, and platys.

I just called my LFS, and they said that they would trade my male ram for a female ram. Problem solved:D

The other problem................
I need to find the recite:)

The big one keeps nipping the smaller one, I feel bad for the small one. I will take the smaller one to the LFS since the bigger one is closer to being an adult.

I had a pair of golds, my female show some pink color in the belly when she was with eggs.

I have 2 males, neither have any pink at all. They both have the bright silver spots starting to show on them. Now I know that females always have some pink color.
thanks
