I had to tear down my 37 tall for about 2 days for a move. Since I run a canister filter and had the water in it the whole time, do you think the recycleing period will be pretty short??? I have a sandy substrate and my equipment is in my signature line thanks!!

I think it would help tons! However, you're going to have half the people tell you to do a fishless cycle and what not.. If you add only small fish, and only a couple at a time you shouldn't have any problems whatsoever.

Nevermind the firemouths. I guess the problem I am having is just the fish selection. 37 tall is kind of an inbetween for the larger fish and the smaller fish. In other words, I could have a community tank or keep one medium cichlid and a pleco. I wish I had a bigger tank!! AHHHH!!!!

The tank has been running for a few hours to let the sand return to the bottom and such. I found that I have a small outbreak in spiral shell snails (name???). They all seemed to survive the transport. When I drained the tank, I left enough water to keep the sand wet and hopefully the bacteria alive too. I hope to see a clear tank in a couple of days!

Well the bateria should live in the substrate so you shouldn't have a big problem. You can test the levels of ammonia in your tank after adding a fish or two.. but too many at once spells disaster!
