Gotta love petco adoptions

(Glad I found this thread)

I have a Petco about 10 miles away .. although I've yet to visit.. I will have to call them as the 2 Fancy Goldfish I had need a new home and the Original future Adopt-ee with a Pond backed out.

I also just picked up a Ornate Bichir for my aquarium.. Size is a question because what I have read so far says either max size is about 15" to anywhere upto 35" .. *shakes head* I truely wish information was better on it.. time will tell if it needs adoption in the future as well.

Again great topic .. maybe make adoption a sticky? :)

Im almost certain that all the petcos around here are corporate owned. They always take the fish for free here too. Ussualy you have to look in the pond tank where they keep the turtles and koi and thats where the adoption fish will be. These fish where actualy brought to a petco about 20 min from the one I got them at and they dont have a pond so the girl from my local who happens to be a friend went over and got them and just happened to drop them off at 845 just before closeing while I was in there looking around. Such luck.
On a side note alot of LFS will take fish for store credit. Ussualy you just get about 20% of the fishes value. I acctualy took two big albino channel cats from the petco adoption about 2 years ago and brought them straight to an LFS I frequent and got 20 bucks credit lol. I also recently got rid of a silver arowana that they had mispriced at petco. I bought him at 4" for $8.00 grew him to about 10-12" in about 6 months and brought him into the LFS for 40 bucks credit. Cant go wrong on that deal.
