Gourami Question

What is the official or scientific name for gourami's antennae or wiskers? I was wondering, and I noticed that they grow back too after being nibbled upon. What are they called?

i think they are just pelvic fins. but they can feel stuff with them, like food i guess?

ill see if i can find out otherwise. OG would know im sure!

Those fins would be the ventral fins, angelfish are another good example. Gourami seem to use them as feelers, and also like shaking hands when they come across other fish as well.

Cool, thanks so far guys. Is anyone here credentialy knowledgeable about gourami though? Maybe they send out radio waves with them, or they can hear thing in space. ? ?

I hear the ancient monks of Tibet used them to communicate w/ things from other realms..
