Any suggestion on which Gourami's to get. I want them to keep my Hydra under control.

If you have a larger tank, pearl gourami are beautiful and peaceful. Dwarf gouramis are always popular but males are aggresive with eachother and sometimes other fish. Gold/blue/opaline gouramis tend to be semi agressive. Honey gouramis are cute and tiny but males may fight. A male and female pair is always good. Sparkling gouramies are beautiful and moonlight gouramis are light and delicate looking. Both sparkling and moonlight are peaceful. Stay away from kissing gourami because they get too big. If you have limited space or a lot of fish, go with the smaller ones (dwarf, honey).

I'd skip the gourami and round out your cories with, well, cories. they prefer to school and look awesome in a tank. Also, rounding out the head/tail lights might be a decent idea too, but that would really be pushing it.

I agree with Harlock. You dont have enough room to keep a gourami and angel peacefully.

What about a couple of Ram's then?

In a 29 gallon, you really have room for one kind of larger fish (the angel). You can even get away with a pair in a 29gallon. Then you have room for one school of tetras and one small school of cories. I'd pick which tetras you like better and stick with those. If the glow lights kick the bucket, don't replace them. You should have at least 3 cories. Gouramis and angels are both larger fish who inhabit the mid/top area of the tank and both like to be boss. They need more room if you want them to live together without stress. I had swarf gouramis with angels in a 29 gallon... no harmony in that tank. I gave the gouramis to my parents and put my angels in a 55 gallon with lots of tetras and cories.
