I have 55 gal tank that is running well. My pearl gourami has sores only on one side. She is behaving very well. How do I heal her? The tank #'s are all well in range.

We need to know what the actual numbers are for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and pH.

"well within range" doesn't tell us anything.

We also need to know what your water change schedule is: how much and how often.

Melafix won't help if the water chemistry is out of wack.

Is the sore like an ulcer or a scrape? if it's the later, excellent water quality is the best medicine IME.

Do water changes daily (30% or so), see if he gets any better...
