Ok ive had theses moonlight gourammis for about three months now and it dosnt look like there growing. I like how they look when they are big. I bought them at about 2 inches so they were juvis. My question is how long till they at least reach 6 inches.

what size tank is it? they grow faster with more space... also, most of the time they don't reach 6 inches in aquariums... 5 inches would be about the max usually. i've got experience with most gouramies n find that they grow pretty slow. so just be patient... only giant gouramies grow fast...

They do not grow that fast anyway, but--They will not grow too big in a 25gal. You can help them grow by

1) raising temp to about 82 F., but your corys may not like this.
2) then feed them a little more then now---because higher temp increases metabalism (did I spell that right??).
3) because your are now feeding more you must do more/bigger water changes.

But again you only have a 25gal tank they will not grow very big in that.

SORRY.

I Dont want to harm my coreys by raising the temp can i keep it at what i have now which is about 76-78 and feed them more to make them grow faster.

Also I have another Question how many flakes of my tetramin tropical flakes should i be giving the gouramies.

I have a blue gourami and had her for months and she has not grown any that I can tell. I think that they just grow slowly.

Do not just dump more food into the tank, you will just have food fall on teh bottom and the decay will create more ammonia. The gouramis are usually top eaters and like to pick the food that floats on the water (that is a general rule). You should feed your fish enough food that they can eat in about 2 minutes.

my blue gourami eats food that floats to the bottom while the other fish are eating at the top(2 mollies and 2 platys)..they usually push her down so I guess that's why.

in your 25gal tank, moonlights would probably reach about 4 inches in there. also, i'm not sure if you'd agree with me but i think most tropical fishes don't grow at regular rates in non-tropical countries as compared to tropical countries. i found that my three spot gouramies grew really slowly when they grew from 3 inches to 5 inches in 6 months... :) i think even with controlling temperature in the tank, it's nothing like keeping fish in it's native climate places...
about this topic, i'm now actually doing some research on animal growth in different climates.
pm me if u'd like to help me out by giving me some info on your fish or even turtle growth rates in non-tropical countries and/or tropical countries.
please help me out here... this might be a real cool discovery.

just to let u know... usually, oscar(not beign overfed, and healthty)* grows from 2 inches to 10 inches here in less than 18 months.
red ear slider turtles grow 3 times faster here in malaysia than in USA from what i've found out. also, alligator snapping turtles grow about 4 times faster here than they do in the USA.

*i fed each young oscar(4-5inches) about 10 feeder fish + pellets + superworms each week.
