IMO, what you have should be fine for a 10g. You may have to play with placement some to get a flow pattern that you like and works for any corals that you have, but if you start adding more or larger PHs, you won't have much to look at in a 10g other than the PHs.
Opinions vary so much on turnover rates... I've seen people recommend at least 10x, no less than 20x, and some say that anything less than 30x is undesirable. For larger tanks, > 20x can be done without creating problems, but in a 10g any fish you have would be hanging on for dear life.
FWIW, in our 90g we have 10 - 12x turnover with no flow related problems and our corals happily wave back and forth in the current. I've thought about adding another PH to alter the flow pattern some, but even then we'd still be < 15x.
