Gravel and decor choice

yeah fish dont care jsut keep it clean its all preference, i use sand in all my tank( everyone loves it but one of my filters)

I used large smooth stone gravel on the left quarter of my tank and gradually faded it into black sand. I then took blue sand and swirled it in in the middle until it turned straight blue on the right side of the tank. Really created a nice beachy(is that a word?lol) effect. My corys hang out way over on the deeper sand and the gravel side I can now lower my filter intake down deeper and not pull up any sand. Anyway u choose just have fun with it.

My advice is to use what looks good to you. You're the one who has to look at it everyday.

when i get a bigger tank im going to try black sand and put in a LOT of plants!!!!!!

I'd go with black gravel, for about 9/10 of it
and then sprinkle the last 1/10 with red gravel!

Lol that sounds funky. What i might do is buy loads of different colours and put them in small containers to see whether i like different combinations.
