i had a battery operated washer forgot the name of the company. well it just darn broke even with replacing with a new battery.
what other gravel washers are good out there. any recommendations is greatly appreciated.

you mean for in the tank? Why not just use a python.... in my experience, the battery ops just pulls the solids, and releases the stuff you can't see back into the water...

The plain gravity fed siphons also work well, but if your tank is larger than say 20g it gets tedious refilling the tank. I mean if you have something like a 15g and you gravity feed into a 5g bucket your doing near a 30% water change in one load. But then you'll probably need to make 5 trips with a 1g pitcher to refill the tank.

Used to use a lot of buckets with my 100g...Python rocks.
