Gravel

Does anyone know where to get fine gravel. Its smaller than natural gravel or the colored stuff. I've been looking around and I haven't had any luck finding it. It'd be the size of small rocks you might find it sand. Or does anyone have any suggestions for gravel that works for loaches, banjo catfish and corries?

Sand would be much better...play sand, pool filter sand.

I've got two 22lb bags of SeaChem sand substrate. Would this be safe for them? I do have a problem keeping the ph around 7.0 with out adding something to the water.

This is the only "sand" that I see by Seachem...doesn't look like sand at all...could be the pic though. Will raise the pH.

What is your pH normally?

The pH out of the tap is at 7.0 but I've had it range from 5.5 to 8.5 no chemicals added either. The sand that I have is the Gray Coast substrate if you look in their website.

The Gray Coast will act as a buffer, so I say give it a shot.

I recently used CarribSea-Torpedo Beach Sand. Large smooth grains. Very nice for loaches.
