Until yesterday I have only been to the lfs in my immediate area and a Petco. These places were small and had around twenty or so tanks per store. I thought this was the norm of the lfs. Yesterday I went back home to visit my parents for the weekend and they live right by Milwaukee, WI. I had a little extra time on my hand so I thought that I would go to a lfs around there area. I opened the door and my jaw fell to floor. I had no idea that there were stores out there that had that much varity and selection. I bet they had over 500 tanks of fish. They even had a couple of tanks that had to have been 800+ gallons big. I was like a kid in a candy store. I took about an hour to walk around a look at every tank. I talked to a couple of employees and they actually knew what they were talking about. I have never had that before. I now know where I will be driving to to get any futher fish from. Thank you Aquatics Unlimited for opening my eyes to what a fish store should be.

If you thought Aquatics Unlimited was good-check out Hoffer's on 76th and Good Hope, most impressive in Milw. IMO. Hoffer's also supports the local milwaukee aquarium society which has good auctions twice year.

My clown pleco was acquired from Aquatics Unlimited in March of 1997. He is still going strong 7 years later.
I like an occasional trip there to see species that are generally unavailable locally.
