Can anyone tell me what kind of algae I have in my tank. It is very hard to remove. Should I leave it? Is it good algae? I have an acrylic tank and cannot really scrape the surface. Any suggestions?

Coralline algae, it's usually pink and purple, but mine is occasionally green too. It's good stuff, most people have it everywhere in their tanks. You will need to scrape it off the front of the tank though, which can be difficult. Sea urchin's are known to eat this stuff, but they also promote new growth while eating, which tends to lead to even more coralline.
