Green Algae on glass?

I've always had this stuff and I just scrape it off.. but I've learned quite a few new things from this forum and thought it would be worth asking if it can be gotten rid of?

It's growing much more quickly now that I'm running CO2 and fertilizing the tank. It grows when no other algae will .. it's not *that* bad and I'd be just as happy scraping it off as long as I need to.. but if it can be beaten I would like to try.

So anyone have any advice? From someone who never gets this kind of algae?

And it is probably light. My light design has two CFs towards the front of the glass. It makes the tank brighter but it also gives the front panel of glass a ton more lighting than it needs..

If you are talking green spot algae, I'm pretty sure that a small amount is normal with any planted tank. As long is it isn't taking over or dominating, it should be fine. Just scrape it off with the weekly water changes if it bothers you. Just make sure your tank is balanced in fertilizers, CO2, and light and you should be alright.

More plants for competition? I wouldn't add anything, like chemicals. I just used old credit cards to scrape. Nothing cool.
