I just noticed some green stuff growing on my driftwood. I also noticed some green on my aquarium walls. How can I tell if its algea or not. also how do i get rid of it.

Ya its probally algae. I dont know of any other green stuff that grows on glass. To get rid of it, good old scraping and scrubing is your best bet. Or you could have fish such as otos or plecos in there to help eat it. Bristle nose and rubber lip plecos are probally your best bet as they dont get big and eat alot of algae.

green algae is most of the time an indication of a healthy tank, just scrape it.
Blue-green algae(bluey green in colour),(i think it may be on yor driftwood give it a scrub in tank water when u do a water change). It grows on the bottom of the tank and on plant leaves,it is dangerous and is an incication that things are going wrong, it is mostly caused by over feeding.
