Ok heres what happened in brief

Went to pet store bought green tree frog.

I noticed he hid all the time.

He had an angular face.

He ate my anole.

Decided he was a whites tree frog looked it up and he was.

Moved him to new tank and now it looks barren with just him in it.

Could I put a green tree frog in their instead of shelling out $30 for a whites?

To put it simply, no. Whites Tree Frogs can and will eat other frog species. If you want a buddy for your frog, plan on searching for another similar sized White's Tree Frog.

Thats what I was thinking. Thats too bad I need to find $30 more dollars for a new frog I guess.

I wish I would have just gotten a green to begin with then I wouldnt be in this predicament. But no they had to have an inexperienced guy working there who put the whites and greens in the same tank and look what happens.

Well I guess you could find out if you can exchange your White's for a couple of Green Tree Frogs.

To be fair, 'Green Tree Frog' is a fairly common trade name for Litoria caerulea. Sometimes the qualifier 'Australian' is added. But yeah, like Vicious said, Hyla cinerea will end up in your big frog's belly. At $6-10 a pop, those are some pricey feeders.

Yeah, I have looked at pics of some whites, as well as asked to examine one at a pet store and that is what I have. I have also seen him eat an anole so that pretty much sums it all up.

He is defineatly a whites from aussie land. Not a green from florida.

I'll just save up and get him a friend really soon right after I get my plants for his new tank.
