Green Sev Vs. Gold Sev

Hey everyone.

I was just wondering what everyones experience with these two severums are. I have owned several of both, and in my experience, I have always found the gold severums to be incredibly less hardy than the green severums. My green severums always live out a full and happy life, but it seems my gold severums are always just shy and end up being bullied too much by everything they have ever been with.

Any of you guys ever had a gold severum that doesnt act like a little school girl?

Nope. Mine are okay with the greens in the same tank.

I owned green severums before. I now have a pair of gold sevs. Both are always parading in front of the tank waiting eagerly for me to feed them.:grinyes: Bought them at an inch size and grew them to 4 inches in less than 3 months. They're almost 5 inches now.

I got 4 turquoise severums and one red spotted gold severum and they all do well ...

I have a Gold Severum it seems pretty hardy although its the only big cichlid in the tank I house it with loaches,rams and a few different kinds of tetras.

Its not agressive at all but it doesnt have much competition for food. It does seems to be pretty shy however.

My Sev also has a habit of sleeping on the suction part of my filter I swear sometimes its dead kinda freaky its like he's in a stupor or somthing.

I have a pair of golds with an oscar and a P. polleni. They are definitely on the bottom of the pecking order, but are the oldest fish in the tank and hold their own.
