Green Severum and Cory Cats

OK, my friend was giong to give me his discus thats why i was going to say only 1. How about 2?

I do like the Angel and Blue Paradise Idea. I really like the Blue Paradise. I keep reading how mean they are I am sort of changing my mind, we will see.

Hi,

Discus should be kept in groups of 4+. And a 39 gallon is too small for Discus IMO.

Cory Lover

Don't worry, a 29 will be ok. If you're worried, just leave out the paradise gourami and go with your second stock list otherwise. Add a school of small tetras, like glowlights, cardinals, rummynose, etc. You'll be happy with the tank, I'm sure.

Just One Disagreement

Yes they will be fine together. Theres not to many fish that will bother a cory because they have spines and exoskelotons. My concern would be that a 39 long may not be enough room for a full grown severum which reaches leangths of 10" and sometimes more. A 55 gallon is ussually considered the minimum for a fish of this size.

I agree with everything you have to say in this post except that part about the exoskeleton. True fishes all have an internal bony skeleton much like the rest of us vertebrates. And unlike the sharks whose internal skeleton is cartilaginous instead of bony. Exoskeletons didn't make it much beyond the insects and the classification that lobsters and crayfish belong in. Sorry, I can't remember the name :help: . The scales of the Corydoras do provide some protection and those spines can definitely cause damage during swallowing.

Beasts

That classification I couldn't remember would, of course be crustaceans. I am the victim of a blond moment, or old age, I'm not sure which.
