Green Severum tankmates

I have a Green Severum in a 55 gallon tank.
I used to have a pair of them but one night the surviving one decided to kill his tankmate.
They were 1 1/2 years old when this happened.
So I was wondering what the typical tankmates that can survive with a somewhat and occasionally aggressive severum?
Would tinfoil barbs or silver dollars be o.k.?
I enjoy my severum alot but I find a 55 gallon kind of barren with just 1 fish.
All opinions and observations are welcome.:feedback:

i would consider a bigger tank but that is just me. i have one sev in my 75 gal and wouldnt want anything smaller. i would bet that had something to do with the aggression. maybe some gast tank mates... large tetras or danios. something small enough to be comfortable bu quick wnough to get out of the way. also a lot of hiding spots and plants will help.

I'm sure some German Blue Rams would be fine with the Sev and look awesome, or you can try some Bolivian Rams

Yep rams, apisto any dwarf cichlids. Might also get away with acra

I second the Acaras or some Rainbow cichlids
