Green spot algae question

Do you use both bulbs? Or only just one?

On the 36" 2x96w aqualight, doesn't it have two cords? You can use two separate timers.

Yes it has 2 cords.
1 light bulb gives me 3.3 wpg at 96 watts.
If I use both bulbs I would have 6.6 wpg with 192 watts.
I only use 1 bulb to light my tank at 96 watts.

Interesting...

Does the light sit right on the tank, or do you use the legs? Don't spend the money on a lux meter, just use trial and error...elevate it 4" higher and give it a couple weeks.

My light has legs.

I will hang the light next week and see what happens with that.

Hopefully the green spot algae will go away after that, it makes the quality of the plants look like crap..
