I wanted to find out if anyone here has experience with these three cichlids being together? I am interested to hear any stories so I can look for similar things to happen. Mine are all in a 55 gallon tank. GT is 2" Jack Dempsey is 2.5" and BP is 3". It looks like they are all male because of their vibrant colors. Even if you don't have experience, with all three, what about with just two of them together. thanks for the input!

I haven't taken any yet, but I have a decent digital camera at home. So I will probably take a couple tonight and post them up. I want to take them soon so I will remember what they looked like as juveniles. I know the BP won't change too much except for size, but the GT and JD will go through a lot of color changes from what I understand so far. What about you Cichlidkeeper, do you have any pictures of your JD?

Its got some really nice color to it! Pretty fish! Does it always sit on the gravel like that? Mine has a little hole in the driftwood that is hangs out in during the day, but is really active at night.

Yea it just sits under his big rock that he took over. Yea mine is alot more active when I turn the lights out. I also have a red devil, firemouth, a hemichromis frempongi in my 55 gallon. Heres my thread i posted a while ago, I dont have the texas any more it was getting to beat fromt the red devil so I had to give it away.tank.http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78535

how big are they all now? how fast has your JD grown? I heard red devil's were crazy mean, is the rumor true?

Well just about the same size right now, but maybe the red devil is a little bigger, They grow very fast. And yes red devils are very mean, that's probably why they name the red devil. If you would want an a mean fish that's the fish you would want. Mine pretty much bosses around the other. He even tries to attack his refection in the inside of the tank glass.

I like aggressive fish, but I have to keep my Blood Parrot (he's kinda timid) in mind when I bring in new fish. Not that I have any room right now in my 55 gal. I figure I am pushing my bio-load limits with the fish I already have. I also have a 3" Pl*co in there with my cichlids. I think he messes up more than he cleans, but I'll leave him in there for a while. My JD and GT are definitely going to be aggressive when they get bigger, but I'm hoping they all get used to each other as kids and can play nice in the sandbox when they get older.

Not all the time they will play nice. But every time that I get a pleco they always kill it so I just decided not waist money any more and just leave the plecos alone. I thing that your green terror will be the most aggressive cichlid that you have. And like I said if you feed them feeder fish they will turn alot more aggressive.
