hi, i have had a green terror in my 30 gallon tank for a year now with a few other fish and it is at a size of 5.5-6 inches. He is one of my most dominant fishes in my tank. Latley, I have been trying to introduce new cichlids to my tank, but nothing is working out (They are all being eaten). Right now i have a Texan about 4 inches in there who is thrashed pretty bad. what should i do?

IMHO the tank sounds way to small. They have no territory to call their own. If I remember correctly, a GT needs at least 30 gal just for himself.

All I can suggest is keep him by himself, trade him in or by a bigger tank.

They don't call them green terror for nothing! I tend to agree a 6" GT is pretty much capacity (territorially wise) for a 30g.

Buy another tank for your additional fish or ditch the GT. IMHO really large fish like that get boring fast.

A 30g is way too small for a GT. IMHO a 55 by himself is too small. They can get up to 12in. you will need a 90 maybe with a Pleco.

Im afraid to ask:
what other fish are in therre and how big are they?
what kind of filer are you using?
how many other fish has he killed?
