I'm glad you all like my fish.
The GT was an inch when I got him. He had so much color then I had to buy him. Yes, He had the Orange tail at this size. I did not even think I wanted a GT but I am one of those people who have learned when you see a fish with colors like that buy it or you will always regret it.
About the food and water conditions.
Nothing specail. I keep my water very clean and use a Diatome filter system for water changes. As far as feedings go, I feed him a mixture of dry and live food.
Fish seem to blend with their suroundings so I like to have bright color gravel I feel it brings more out in the fish then natural gravel.
I don't know much about Placos to answer what kind.
I love this fish and I keep my eyes opened for a female with equeal color for breeding.
Oh yeah, the tank is a 90 gal and I am looking for homes for all the conicts in that tank.

Do you think you could get a video of him eating? What kind of feeders do you feed him, guppies, goldfish?
He eats feeders in a very strang way. He eats the heads and spits out the rest of the fish then the Tx Cichlid swims by and sucks in the rest. or if the Tx doesnt get it right off it will float 20 mins and then the GT will eat it.
I don't get it, I never saw a fish eat like this. They usualy wont eat floaters.
I can film him eating food stick if you like or I can wait till he eats a fish but I never know when. My TX cichlid is the agressive live fish eater. Then the baby cons swim around eating scraps

It would still be cool to get a vid of him eating. he seems so peacefull in this vid, so it's always interesting to see how different they are when it comes time to eat.
