Green Terror question(s)

my experience with the green terrors (I kept a pair a few years ago) is that they need PLENTY of room. they get incredibly territorial, and will kill just about anything. I had a small pair (about 2" each) of them along with a pair of calico cichlids and a pleco in a tank that, looking back, was far too small. They all fit at the time but once they all grew to full size I would be in trouble.

essentially the larger of the 2 terrors (a beautiful fish, by the way) decided to start killing the others 1 by 1. it took him some time but he managed to kill the 3 other cichlids (all of similar size to him) as well as the pleco. after that I decided I wasn't putting anything else in the tank with him. I kept him alone for probably close to 2 years.

I used to feed him rosies once a week and cichlid pellets and tubiflex worm were fed daily.

terrors are really strong fish. they can dart around a tank really fast and if you don't have a good hood will splash water everywhere. mine liked to dig up plants and move gravel all over the tank.

I guess the main thing to take from this is they can be really mean and territorial, so make sure thye have plenty of elbow room and caves to hide in. keep your other fish too big for the terror to eat (which might not save them if he's particularly grumpy), and if you can keep one happy they are beautiful fish to keep.

Was the meet raw and what kind?
Like hamburger meet?
Flies taste like hamburger. I have tasted them riding my motor bike with my mouth opened.
